PNG Nambawan Trophy Limited Group is one of the leaders in the retail
industry in Papua New Guinea. It has interests in telecommunications,
convenience stores, sports goods, casual wear, properties and food and
beverage. We require the services of a Chief Accountant to support its
growth.
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Papua New Guinea - Port Moresby
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO, the selected candidate will ensure effective running of the Accounts Department. Duties include:

Managing daily accounting operations and lead Accounting Team (comprising of AR, AP and GL, Banking and Inventory sections).

Preparation of monthly financial statements for Group reporting and other deliverables
-
Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline accounting process
-
Assist the CFO in formulating and reviewing accounting processes /
policies throughout the company to ensure accounting and financial
reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide
reliable information for control and management purposes.

Other ad hoc or duties as and when assigned
Requirements:
-
Minimum 12years' working experience in industry, preferably in the retail sector

Mature with the ability to work independently ;

Possess excellent leadership skills, analytical mind and strong interpersonal skills ;

Ability to work under tight schedule ;
-
Member of a professional accountancy body.

Experience in ERP systems would be advantageous.
